A cracked supply line at 2am, a water heater that quit on a Sunday, a slab leak that's been climbing your water bill for weeks — whatever brought you here, our Boston-based crews are already staged and ready to roll.
Behind Street Wise - Plumbing is a crew of journeyman and master plumbers who've worked on everything from century-old cast iron to brand-new PEX systems. We're insured for the job, licensed in MA, and we stand behind every repair with a written warranty.
We've trained our team to diagnose the actual cause, not just patch the symptom. A slow drain in a Boston kitchen is rarely just the trap — it's often venting, slope, or a buildup problem further down the line, and we check all of it.
Training doesn't stop after licensing. Our Boston team runs regular refreshers on code updates, new fixture technology, and the material mix specific to Boston, MA construction, so a repair holds up to inspection, not just to a quick test run.
A surprising number of the emergency calls we take in Boston started as something small three or four days earlier. Here's what tends to escalate fast.
A burst supply line or an overflowing toilet doesn't care what time it is, and neither do we. Our emergency crews carry shutoff tools, wet-vacs, and common repair parts so most emergency calls in Boston are resolved in a single visit.
From a running toilet that's quietly inflating your water bill to a full re-pipe of an older Boston home, our residential team handles the everyday and the extensive with the same attention to detail.
We work around your business hours where possible, not the other way around. Commercial clients across Boston, MA rely on us for scheduled maintenance, backflow prevention compliance, and rapid response when a fixture goes down mid-shift.
Our drain team runs camera line inspections before recommending anything invasive, so you're not paying for a dig-up when a hydro-jetting service would clear it.
Whether it's a pilot light that won't stay lit or a full tank-to-tankless conversion, our technicians are certified on both gas and electric systems common in Boston, MA homes.
Rather than opening walls on a hunch, our technicians run listening equipment across the suspected line first, marking the leak within a foot or two before any cutting begins.
Faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and shower valves get installed to code, with old connections checked for corrosion rather than just reused out of convenience.
A live dispatcher takes your call, gets a read on the urgency, and starts routing the nearest available technician.
Because our trucks are staged across Boston, MA, dispatch can usually give you an honest, specific arrival window.
Your technician diagnoses the issue and walks you through the fix and the flat price before starting, so there's no guessing at the invoice.
Once the fix is complete and tested, you get a written warranty — if something related fails, we come back and make it right.
You approve a flat price before we start — never a rate that climbs once the job's already underway.
Because our trucks are already staged around Boston, MA, we're rarely the "next week" plumber.
We're happy to have every technician show ID and license on arrival; it's a standard we hold ourselves to, not a special request.
Our workmanship warranty means the fix is expected to hold — and if it doesn't, that's on us to correct, not you.

Our Boston dispatch covers the surrounding neighborhoods and zip codes, with trucks staged to keep response times reasonable even during peak call volume.
If you're near Boston but technically outside the city line, dispatch still covers you — our routing is built around drive time from the nearest staged truck, not a hard municipal boundary.
Because trucks are staged throughout Boston, MA, most Boston calls see a technician the same day, with priority routing for active leaks and no-water situations.
Always. You'll know the price before we start, and that number doesn't move once you approve it.
Burst pipes, overflowing fixtures, failed water heaters, sewer backups, and no-water situations are all handled on an emergency basis, 24 hours a day.
Every technician holds a valid MA plumbing license and is covered under our liability and workers' compensation insurance.
Regularly. Boston has a mix of older and newer housing stock, and our technicians are trained on galvanized, cast iron, copper, and PEX repair alike.
Usually. Electronic leak detection lets us pinpoint the exact location first, which keeps the opening small and targeted rather than exploratory.
We service and install most major tank and tankless brands available in Boston, MA, both gas and electric.
